The supplier for the pump itself appears to be the same, but they‘ve opted for a cheaper option that doesn‘t have suction cups on the bottom of the pump to keep it in place, and they also cut costs on the plastic housing as well by removing the raised plastic that was used to center the pump for the water to flow properly. Granted, they have included a rubber adapter to attach to the pump so you can get it into place properly, but now you need to hold the inner lid and attach the pump there, hook the cable through the notch in that lid, and then lower that over the base that you‘re to have filled with water beforehand.
